DON'T SHOP ROTH'S

Shoppers Slam Canadian-Owned Roth’s for Paying American Workers Less

Roth's is facing backlash from Oregon customers after being sold to Canadian-Owned Jim Pattison Group.

Despite consistently charging more for many of the same products, Roth’s is now refusing to match the wage increases of nearby competitors such as Safeway or Fred Meyer. This choice is leading many to shop somewhere else.

"I used to love Roth’s because it was run by someone who cared about us here in Oregon. If they’re just like all the other big corporate grocery chains now, I might as well shop at Safeway. At least their prices are reasonable."

The message Roth's is sending is clear:

American Workers and Shoppers are Worth Less

This is business as usual for Roth's parent company. Roth’s was bought by Canadian billionaire Jim Pattison, who recently sparked national boycotts in Canada over his other stores' high grocery prices, all while remaining one of the country's wealthiest people.
